Baseball! Suspense! Michael Connely decided to become a writer after discovering the books of Raymond Chandler while attending the University of Florida. He has written 17 books, including 12 featuring LAPD Detective Hieronymus Bosch. His novels consistently debut at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. His most recent is Echo Park, released in October 2006. Connelly's books have been translated in 31 languages and have won the Edgar, Anthony, Macavity, Shamus awards, as well as many others both in the USA and internationally. The story Two Bagger was his first short story, originally published in 2001 in the anthology Murderer's Row.
